This peaceful location is opposite Scotland’s striking parliament building, and this apartment is the ideal starting point for a hike up to the top of Arthur’s Seat – an extinct volcano (…yes, volcano) with spectacular views of the city and the surrounding countryside. Just a short five-minute walk from the residence past the parliament is Dynamic Earth, a family-friendly attraction that takes visitors on a journey through history, from the Big Bang all the way to the present day.
Your exploration of Edinburgh begins at your front door, as you walk the full length of the Royal Mile up to Edinburgh Castle (17 minutes/1.6km). En route you’ll encounter a wealth of shops, restaurants and picturesque alleys (called closes in Edinburgh) full of cosy bars waiting to be discovered. The journey to Edinburgh’s main station, Edinburgh Waverley, takes 14 minutes on foot (1.2km), and puts you in striking distance of Princes Street Gardens, the Scott Monument, Scottish National Gallery and the Johnnie Walker Experience.
